What Recruiters Look For

Pilot CVs are highly standardised. Airlines want to see your total hours, type ratings, licence type (EASA/FAA), and recency. Command time and line training experience are premium credentials.

Key Skills to Include

ATPL, type ratings (A320, B737, etc.), CAT III, CRM, threat and error management, SOP compliance, and any instructor or examiner ratings.

Common Mistakes

Including irrelevant non-aviation experience. Airlines want to see your flying hours front and centre. Use the standard aviation CV format with Total Time, PIC, Multi-Engine, and Type hours clearly displayed.

Formatting Tips

One page. Use the standard aviation format. Include a Flight Time Summary at the top. List type ratings, licence details, and medical expiry dates.
